An additional security feature is available in MicrOpay that sets the minimum number of characters that can be used and an archive limit determining when the password can be used again.
Warning: Once this feature is enabled, you will not be able to revert to the original settings.
Enabling Security when creating a database
When creating a new database, the Login Security appears when you click the Next button after entering the Name and Address details.
Tick Enable Login Security.
On the left side of the window, choose any or all of the options available. The options are:
Uppercase Characters
Lowercase Characters
Numeric Characters
Symbol Characters.
Enter or select the desired Minimum Password Length. The Maximum Password length that MicrOpay will accept is 12 characters.
Enter or select the Password Archive Limit.
Enter or select the Maximum Password Retries a user is allowed before being locked out.
Locked user accounts can only be unlocked by an Admin user. See below for more information about Locked User Accounts.
Enter or select the number of days before a user is prompted to change their Password for the Password Change Reminder.
The restrictions are not applied to the Admin login.
If you don't want to enable this feature, do not tick Enable Login Security and click the Next button to be taken to the Country setup screen.
Enabling Security on an existing database
For users wishing to activate at a later stage, the feature can be enabled via Access MicrOpay Evo Administration. Login as Admin.
Go to Access MicrOpay Evo Administration, System Configuration, System Wizard.
Click on the Login Security tab.
Tick the Enable Login Security checkbox.
On the left side of the window, choose any or all of the options available. The options are:
Uppercase Characters
Lowercase Characters

Enter or select the desired Minimum Password Length. The Maximum Password length that MicrOpay will accept is 12 characters.
Enter or select the Password Archive Limit.
Enter or select the Maximum Password Retries a user is allowed before being locked out.
Locked user accounts can only be unlocked by an Admin user. See below for more information about Locked User Accounts.
Enter or select the number of days before a user is prompted to change their Password for the Password Change Reminder. The restrictions are not applied to the Admin login.
Once the feature is enabled
When logging into MicrOpay, the Save Password and Default Profile checkboxes are no longer visible. The user MUST enter their password each time they login. The Admin user(s) must also enter the password each time.
The first agent to login after the new feature has been enabled will see a pop-up window appear informing the user that New Login Security settings were found. The user must click OK and login again.
If another database is upgraded after the feature has already been applied to an earlier database, a popup window appears warning the user that unauthorised changes have been found and that the System Wizard must be used to apply the necessary updates. Login Security must then be enabled on this database.
Locked User Accounts
If the Maximum Password Retries option is enabled, users who have made too many unsuccessful attempts are locked out.
The Admin user can unlock the account by logging in and going to Access MicrOpay Evo Administration, Agent Administration, Agents and editing the relevant Agent account.
Click on the Options tab and untick Lock Agent Account. This option may be set manually whenever desired.
The Show Password feature is disabled for Login Security and is not visible. Agents who cannot remember their password will need to arrange for Admin to set a new one. If the Admin password is lost or forgotten, please contact the support team.
