Setup for MicrOpay Evo
Hosted (Online) click here to request your Security Token. Your data will be connected as part of the request.
On-Premise (Desktop) customers click here to request your Security Token. Once you have your Security Token, follow the details steps below to complete MicrOpay Evo provisioning.
Download the MicrOpay Data Loader.
Install the Data Loader. You will need the Security Token to complete this step.
Connect your MicrOpay data.

Have your Security Token to hand.
A. Download the MicrOpay Data Loader
To download the Data Loader:
Log in to the server where the MicrOpay database is installed.
The MicrOpay Evo 9.4 B1 Upgrade zip file includes the DataLoaderSetup64.exe file. You can use this to install Data Loader on your MicrOpay Evo database server. If you use the MicrOpay Evo 9.4 B1 Installer file to upgrade you will need to download the Data Loader separately. Use the appropriate download link below:

B. Install the Data Loader
To carry out this task, you'll need your SQL server name, username and password. Share this article with your IT Team. To install and connect the Data Loader for MicrOpay SQL:
On the server where your MicrOpay database is installed, open Windows Explorer and go to your Downloads folder.
Right-click on the Zip File and select Properties.
Tick Unblock, then click Apply and OK.
Highlight the Zip file, right-click and select Extract All.
The zip file will be extracted to a new folder.
In the new folder, open folders Access-Evo-SQL-Data-Loader, SQL then 64bit. Double-click Run_DataLoaderInstall.bat to run it. If asked, Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device, click Yes. If you can't run the Run_DataLoaderInstall.bat, manually run the DataLoaderSetup64.exe.
A blue command window is displayed and the installation begins.
When the pop-up message, Please click through the installer is displayed, click OK.
The Access Driver wizard begins. Click Next through the wizard, ensuring to read and agree to the terms of the license agreement when asked.
At Confirm Installation Details, click Install.
When the install wizard finishes installing the driver, click Finish.
MicrOpay Evo 64bit Data Loader is now installed.
A pop-up Data Loader screen is displayed.
If you don't see the Data Loader pop-up screen, go to Start, Run, type in Data Loader and then double-click ClicData Loader to open the screen.
Click the configuration icon (cog icon) at the top right of the Data Loader screen to open the Settings screen.
Copy and paste the Data Loader Security Token, provided via email from the Access Group, into the Security Token field. If you don't have your Security Token, click here to request your Security Token.
Click Save.
The Data Loader screen says Running, indicating the application is installed successfully.
C. Connect your MicrOpay data:
Before proceeding with the SQL Connection setup, you need the following prerequisites:
MicrOpay must be upgraded to version 9.4 B1.
Click DataLoader must be installed on the SQL Server.
Server name and credentials (either SQL or Windows Authentication) must be provided. These can be found in either of the below:
From the MicrOpay Sign-In screen, click Edit and there is the SQL Server and Database page, which lists the Authentication or the SQL credentials (if used).
From the Object Explorer in SQL Server Management Studio, locate the SQL Server to view the username
Payroll database name must be provided.
IT personnel with access to the SQL Server must be available.
Important: To proceed with the SQL Setup Configuration, IT personnel must have Administrator privileges in Evo to access the Data Engine products. This task can be performed by the individual who received administrator access in the Welcome Email.
Log into Access Evo.
Click the Access Button and then Products.
Select Data Engine on the right hand side.
The Data Engine tab is displayed. Click the three-line "burger menu" on the top-left of the screen.
Under Data, click Connections and then Shared.
Select P - aba - Micropay | Your Database Name |. Click the drop-down arrow at the right end of the row and select Properties.
The Data Connections tab is displayed. Select Server on the left and enter full server name in the Server field.
Click Authentication on the left-hand menu.
Select Authentication Type, typically User Credentials and complete the necessary fields. Your system administrator or IT specialist will be able to advise the Authentication Type to choose.
User Credentials - is used when connecting the database with a SQL user, e.g. sa (System Administrator) account
Windows Authentication - is used when connecting the database with Window authentication. You can find this information on your computer by going to Settings, Accounts, where you will see your domain, username and password.
Domain - in System Properties window, go to Computer Name tab. If your computer is connected to a domain, the domain name will be listed here.
Username - the username you use to log into your computer
Password - the password you use to log into your computer.
Click Server on the left-hand menu.
Click the drop-down arrow on the Database field. You will see listed the databases on that server, which indicates you have successfully established a connection with your SQL server.
Select your MicrOpay Evo database.
Click Save.
