Find the MicrOpay Database

Add or locate the database when it is missing from the Sign In screen

Before you can add the database name to the MicrOpay Sign In screen, you need to know the SQL Server and Database Name. To find out this information:

For Desktop Customers:

Contact your IT team to obtain the SQL server and database names. Your local IT team will also be able to advise if you should select SQL or Windows authentication.

For Hosted Customers:

If you are unsure of the server and database names, raise a case online requesting the information. Include your client ID in the description.

To Locate the MicrOpay Database:

Once you have the SQL Server name and Database name, you can proceed with the steps below:

  1. On the MicrOpay Sign In screen, click Find.

  2. Enter the SQL Server Name and Payroll Database Name.

  3. Select the authentication method. For hosted customers, this will be Use Windows NT authentication. If you choose SQL authentication, you will also need to enter the Login User and Password.

  4. Click Next.

  5. Untick Create a Common database on the same server.

  6. Enter the SQL Server Name and Common Database Name.

  7. Select the authentication method. For hosted customers, this will be Use Windows NT authentication. If you choose SQL authentication, you also need to enter the Login User and Password.

  8. Click Finish.
