Error: 'The Employee Code is in use by eHR'

Receive error 'The Employee Code is in use by eHR' when trying to create a new employee

Updated over a week ago

This error occurs when the employee code has been used by a New Employee in either the New Employee window or Implement HR window or if there are orphaned lines in the _iptblStagedEmployee table. In the instance of orphaned lines, the employee code is stuck in the table and cannot currently be used.

Log into MicrOpay as an Agent that has access to All Frequencies and check both:

  • New/Edit Employees

    1. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Employees, New/Edit Employees.

    2. Check to see if the Employee exists.

    3. If you find the employee either complete the employee information or delete the record.

  • Implement HR Changes

    1. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Employees, Implement HR Changes.

    2. Check to see if the Employee exists.

    3. If you find the employee, complete the employee record. Then delete from the Employee grid if it is not needed.

If you find the above options do not resolve the issue, raise a case online with your customer details and full description of the issue so that we can discuss this further with you. We may need to organise a script to remove the orphan records from the table.
