Before you rename a team in ESS you should check that the Team isn't included in Workflow. If the original team name is included in a Workflow, the pending approvals will be allocated to Administrator users. Workflows are accessed from the Settings menu and you will need to check both Profile Changes and Leave Workflows. If the Team is included in a workflow, you will need to update the workflow. To rename a team in ESS, follow the steps below:
Log in to ESS as Administrator with permission to Organise Teams.
Go to Teams.
Select the Team you want to rename.
Click on the ellipsis button (3 dots ...) at the top of the screen.
Select Rename team.
Enter the new team name.
Click Save.
