Before you can delete a team in ESS, check that the Team isn't included in a Workflow. If the deleted team is included in the Workflow, the pending approvals will be allocated to users who have an Administrator role. Workflows are accessed from the Settings menu and you ,need to check both Profile Changes and Leave Workflows. To delete a team in ESS, follow the steps below:
You will require an Administrator Log-in that allows you to Organise Teams.
Go to Teams.
Select the Team you want to delete
Click on the ellipsis button (3 dots) on the Header.
Select Delete Team.
You will get a prompt to confirm, select Yes, delete team.
Note: You can't delete a team if it contains members or managers. You will receive the message 'Cannot Delete the Team. Team Name cannot be deleted as there are Members/Managers present' if the team isn't empty.
To remove members or managers from a team, click on the ellipsis button for the person and select Move to team or Remove from team. You will need to repeat this for each person.
