To check if Sync from Payroll was successful in ESS, the last Sync from Payroll date displays the date the last successful sync occurred.
To start a new sync:
Go to Settings, General.
Select Sync from Payroll, then click Sync.
You will receive a message asking if you would like to continue. Click Yes, sync changes.
You can check the progress of the Sync under WEB API LOG.
Click on the Refresh button (circle with an arrow) to refresh the window.
Check the messages displayed, it should start with:
Job Started.
Clearing cache.
Importing from lookups e.g. country, state, gender, super fund, cost accounts, job classification, etc.
Importing pay frequency, etc.
If the message displays Job Started and repeats multiple times, the sync has not been successful. This may be due to the sync timing out and or too many syncs have been triggered, resulting in the sync not starting.

Please raise a case online and reference the title of this article and include details of what you were syncing and the messages you received. The case should also include your authority for us to access your ESS environment to enable the investigation.

Note: Once a Sync has been started, the Sync button will be greyed out. If you need to Sync a second database, you will need to leave the screen and then come back, e.g. go to the Dashboard and then come back to Settings, General.
