Once you've created a new Leave Type and Leave Reason in MicrOpay you need to update ESS to use it in applications and to see any balances in ESS.
User-Defined Leave and Leave Reasons in ESS
If you have created a User Defined Leave class, you need to attach it to the employee before they can apply for it or see the balances in ESS. Once attached, sync the database and apply leave settings.
Log in to MicrOpay.
Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Employees, Employees.
Edit the employee.
Select Leave and ensure the User Defined Leave has been attached to the employee.
Then log into ESS as an Administrator.
Go to Settings, General and perform Sync from Payroll.
Tick Sync from Payroll for the database.
Click Sync.
To check that the leave has been set up to display the balance:
Go to Settings, Leave.
Edit the Leave Type (pencil in a square) and tick the Permissions required.
Display balance
Allow insufficient balance
Include pro rata calculation
Ensure the Leave Reasons is selected
Click Save.
If the User Defined Leave is still not available in ESS, a change may not have been triggered yet. To trigger a change, go back into MicrOpay.
Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Employees, Employees.
Edit the employee.
Select Employment Details.
Change the Pay Point to something else.
Click OK to save.
Log back into ESS.
Go to Settings, General and perform a Sync from Payroll.
Tick Sync from Payroll for the database with the changes to leave.
Click Sync.
Once the Sync is complete, change the employee's Pay Point back.
