MicrOpay ESS - Employee Details are not syncing back to ESS

Changed the employee's details in MicrOpay but it isn't updating or syncing back to ESS

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Different information is synced for a new employee, compared to changes made to an existing employee.

Some fields only sync when the new Member is created. After that, ESS becomes the source and changes made to the employee record in payroll won't update the Member profile in ESS. It becomes the employee's responsibility to make changes in ESS to update MicrOpay. For more information on what data gets uploaded between ESS and MicrOpay, refer to the article below.

MicrOpay ESS - Profile Information uploaded to MicrOpay from ESS?

If an employee has been created in MicrOpay and does not sync to ESS:

  1. Log into ESS as an Administrator user.

  2. From the Dashboard scroll down to Audit Reports.

  3. Select the Activation Report.

  4. Review the report, looking for another user with the same employee code.

If another user is listed with the same employee code, then the user will not sync into ESS and you will need to raise a case online. Reference this article in the case and include the details of the new employee and the Activation Report.

If the employee code is not on the Activation report, they may not have flowed through to ESS due to the MicrOpay Client Service (MCS) being down at the time. The Sync from Payroll process looks for changes in the table _iptblEmployeesChanged to update the data in ESS. To trigger a change in this table:

  1. Log into MicrOpay.

  2. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Employees, Employees.

  3. Edit the employee you need to update.

  4. Select Pay Details and change the Pay Point to something else temporarily.

  5. Click OK to save.

  6. Then log into ESS.

  7. Go to Settings, General.

  8. Tick Sync from Payroll and click Sync.

  9. The employees should flow into ESS.

Once this has occurred, you can change the Pay Point back to the original.

If the data has not changed in ESS, raise a case online. Please refer to this article in the case and include details of what is not appearing in ESS.
