Bank splits can be avoided or modified in a transaction for an employee.
Avoid a bank split
To avoid or remove a bank split for one pay only:
Go to Payroll, Transactions, Processing and select the required transaction.
Select Employee.
Tick Bypass Bank Splits.
Enter the pay.
The Employee's pay will be distributed to their primary bank account. Bypass Bank Split is available in most transaction screens. However, some, for example, Generate Auto Pay Transactions or Calculation Worksheet, will bypass Bank Splits for all employees.
Change a bank split
When you change the value associated with a bank account, the value allocated to the balance of pay account won't automatically update. You will need to change more than one account to balance the Total Value to the Net Pay. E.g. increase a secondary account by $100 and decrease the balance of pay account by $100.
Go to Payroll, Transactions, Processing and select the required transaction.
Select Employee.
Enter the pay.
Once all components have been entered, select Net Pay.
Change the Value for the bank accounts you want to change.
Check that Total Value (bottom right corner) balances to Net Pay.
Click Process. You will receive an error if Total Value and Net Pay are different.
