To balance the STP Pay Event to the Payroll Report, you can compare Gross Taxable, PAYG, Super and Net Pay values. Refer to the articles below for other Pay Event balancing information:
To reconcile Gross Taxable with Gross (STP)
The steps below run the Payroll Report for one Payroll Company. If you choose to run for multiple companies, tick Show Company Details in the Totals Options.
When comparing Super, the value in the STP Pay Event will be any Employer Contribution marked as Super Guarantee (SG) for STP Reporting. Any Employer Contribution marked as Reportable Super (RESC) will be included in Superannuation on the Payroll Report but will be excluded from Super Guarantee in the Pay Event. You can check this in Payroll, Maintenance, Superannuation, Employer Contribution.
Go to Payroll, Reports, Transactions, Payroll Report.
Select the Payroll Company, Pay Frequency and Period End Date for the Pay Event you want to reconcile.
Under Totals Options, tick Show Report Totals.
Tick Show Hours by Rate Details and Show Employee Additions / Deductions under the Display Options.
Produce the report and save or print a copy.
Next, go to Payroll, Transactions, Import and Export, STP Reporting.
This will populate the STP Reporting grid with any outstanding Pay Events, and all reported Pay Events that fall within the Payment Dates.
Ensure that the grid includes the following columns:
Gross Taxable
PAYGW (Tax)
Super Guarantee
Net Pay
If the columns are not in the grid, right-click and choose Customise Grid Columns to drag the columns into the grid.
Compare the values from the Pay Event to the Report or Company Totals on the Payroll Report.
Use the table below to balance the Payroll Report and STP Pay Event. There will be no difference when the two balance.
