Notifications

Notifications including information on how to view previous notifications, when the notification bell is greyed or crossed out and when the link in a Notification message does not open.

Updated this week

Notifications are a way of keeping you up to date with the latest MicrOpay information, e.g. advising when a new MicrOpay version is available.

You can access Notifications from the menu bar. Each time you sign in, MicrOpay checks for new Notifications. By default, unread notifications are displayed in a list view with a heading and summary. To read a notification, click on the heading. This will open the full message in a new browser window. The heading of the notification will change to regular font, i.e. no longer bold, and the notification will be marked as read. Read Notifications will be hidden from the default view when the window is refreshed.

To view Read Notifications, click View All. The list will now include both read and unread notifications. The View All button will be replaced with the Hide Read button, which can be used to hide the read notifications. If there a no unread notifications, a message will display in the window.

Notifications have an expiry date. This is generally two weeks, however it may be extended for important notifications. Once the notification has expired, it will no longer display as either read or unread. If there are no active notifications, you will get a message.

Note: Notifications use an RSS feed. MicrOpay must be installed on a PC with internet access in order to receive Notifications. If you see a greyed-out or crossed-out bell icon, no messages are available.

If a Notification includes links to a webpage and the page does not open when selected, use the View Browser button at the bottom right-hand side of the screen and then select the link. You may need to maximise the screen to access it.
