MicrOpay ESS - Managing Permissions in ESS

Change permissions in ESS and the different levels or types of permissions in ESS

To change permissions, sign in to ESS as an Administrator who has Edit access to Roles & Permissions.

  1. Go to Settings, Roles & Permissions.

  2. Select the Role that you want to edit.

  3. Click Edit, and this will unlock the permissions.

  4. Go to the relevant section.

  5. Click on the icon at the end of the heading to change permissions for all fields listed. Or for individual lines, change permissions by clicking the icon at the end of the row. Below is a key to the permissions levels:

    • Deny (red circle with a diagonal line), which means no access.

    • View (blue circle with an eye), which means the role can view.

    • Edit (yellow circle with a pencil) means the role can make changes to the field.

  6. When you have set permissions, click Save at the top of the screen.

If all fields under a heading have the same permission, then the heading, e.g. Personal Information, will show the same permission level icon.

If the fields below the heading have a mixture of permissions, e.g. View and Edit, then the heading, e.g. Account Settings, will be blank (grey circle). The grey circle is for display, it is not an option you select.
