How do I create an agent and give them the correct permissions or access

Agents, Security, and Passwords in MicrOpay

Agent Administration provides options for managing agents and agent groups. It is used for both the setup process and day-to-day operations. Users, their passwords, and levels of access must be managed to ensure the integrity of data.

You can use the same access permissions (payroll company or frequency) applied in the Payroll tab of the Agent in MicrOpay to their user in Evo. To do this you enter the email address they use to log into Evo in the Contacts tab. The email address must be unique to the user. You can also enter an email for Admin users, they will have access to all payroll companies and frequencies in Evo.

To access Agent Administration from the system tree, select Access MicrOpay Evo Administration, Agent Administration.

Note: You will only be able to see or access this Node on the System Tree if you have Administrator access.

To create a new agent, it's best to copy an existing agent if the access level will be the same. To do this:

  1. Log in as an Administrator.

  2. Go to Access MicrOpay Evo Administration, Agent Administration, Agents.

  3. Right-click on the agent you would like to copy.

  4. Select Copy.

  5. Enter the Agent Name. This is the username the user will use to log in.

  6. Enter the New Password and Confirm Password on behalf of the user.

  7. Complete any required fields on the General, Contact and Address tabs.

  8. If you apply Agent permissions from MicrOpay in Evo, enter E-mail on the Contact tab. The email address that you enter is the email address they use to log into Evo and needs to be unique for each user.

  9. On the Options tab, tick Agent can Change Password and Agent must Change Password on Next Login, if you want to force the user to change their password when they first log in.

  10. Make any other required changes on the Options, Payroll, Groups, Access Permissions and System Tree tabs.

  11. Click OK to save.

  12. You can now manually contact the user and let them know their username and password.
