The Minimum Windows version you should be on is Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012. Any prior versions are not supported by Microsoft® and will prompt an 'Unknown Error' in STP Reporting, due to security updates. Identify the cause of the STP Connection Error by going to the Event log on the application host machine.
In Event Viewer, expand on Applications and Services Log and look for MicropayService.
There will likely be a few errors listed, click view to see the details. You will see the error under General details “Could not create SSL\TLS secure channel”.
