Error: 'Error initialising report data! . . . Error found in Formula processing (XXX)! Condition: "X" Error in parsing "/" operator' when entering Transactions

Receive this error when entering or importing transaction or running the Leave Summary and Liability Report

This error can occur when you enter or import Transactions or run the Leave Summary and Liability Report that includes a rate that is based on a formula. It indicates that data is missing or incorrect in the formula.

To fix the error:

  1. Go to Common, Maintenance, Calculations, Formula.

  2. Edit the Formula causing the error.

  3. Note the Variables that have been attached to the formula. These appear in the top grid of the screen and will include the Code and Variable Name.

  4. Close the Formula.

  5. Go to Common, Maintenance, Calculations, Variables.

  6. Edit the Variable noted in step 3.

  7. For each Variable that has Transaction Totals or Employee Additional Field as the Source, ensure that the correct option is selected in Field.

  8. Click OK to save.

  9. Repeat for each Variable noted at step 3.

If you don't know which Formula is causing the error, use the steps below:

  1. Find the rate being used. This will be the Rate Type in the Transaction or on the Liability tab of the Leave Summary and Liability Report.

  2. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Rates, Leave Rates.

  3. Edit the Rate found at step 1.

  4. The Formula will appear in the Other section.
