The Employee Previous Earnings report provides a record of previous earnings per period for an employee during the specified period range. It is often used to provide details of an employee's pay history for Centrelink or at the employee’s request.
The report can be used:
to extract the total payments made to an employee for a specified date range
to show payroll calculations for each pay period
can provide averages over the period range
as a useful starting point for payroll calculations that are based on previous earnings information
to provide a quick summary of current Year To Date figures for an employee without the need to print off a payroll report for all employees in a location
to analyse and troubleshoot payments made to an employee.
The Employee Previous Earnings Report can be printed at any time and will include all completed pays, i.e. pays where the End of Pay has been processed.
To access the Previous Earnings report go to Payroll, Reports, End of Pay, Employee Previous Earnings.
This report defaults to the current calendar month, you can change the From Date and To Date. Tick Previous Tax Year to produce the report using values from the previous financial year. To view values from previous tax years you must have processed the previous financial year end in MicrOpay.
Ticking Report by Employee's Current Location will display the Employee's current Location. If unticked the Report will include the Location the employee was attached to at the time of the transaction.
The Average values on the Report will be for all transactions included on the report. To see the average for an employee run the report for just that employee. The Average values are calculated by dividing the amount by the number of periods. To count the number of periods the report will include both the number of periods entered on a transaction and the number of pay advices. The number of periods entered on a transaction are printed on the report and to verify the number of pay advices use Employee Enquires (Payroll, Enquiries, Employee Enquiries).
