Error: 'Employee Code XXX Missing Tax Treatment Code' in STP Reporting or STP Update

If you receive this message:

  1. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Employees, Employees.

  2. Edit the Employee.

  3. Select Tax Details.

  4. Under the ATO Reporting Information (STP), change Income Type to a different one and click OK to save the change.

  5. Edit the Employee again, select Tax Details and change Income Type back to the correct one.

  6. Select Personal Details.

  7. In Email Address, click on the email button in the right corner.

  8. Select the email address and click on Edit.

  9. Remove the Email address on the screen and re-enter the email without any spaces. Click Close.

  10. In Personal Details, delete the Email address and re-enter it without spaces.

  11. Click OK.

  12. Go to Payroll, Transactions, Import and Export, STP Reporting. Select the Pay Event and Report to ATO.
