MicrOpay ESS - Manager Permissions in ESS

Change permissions in ESS and the different levels or types of permissions in ESS

Updated over 2 months ago

To make any changes to permissions, sign in to ESS as an Administrator who has Edit access to Roles & Permissions.

  1. Go to Settings, Roles & Permissions.

  2. Select the Roles that you want to edit.

  3. Click Edit, this will unlock the permissions.

  4. Go to the relevant section that you wish to edit.

  5. Click on the icon at the end of the heading to change permissions for all fields listed below. Or you can select individual lines to change the permission by clicking on the icon at the end of the row. Below is a key of the permissions levels found in ESS:

    • Deny (red circle with a diagonal line), which means no access.

    • View (blue circle with an eye), which means the role can view the field.

    • Edit (yellow circle with a pencil), meaning that the role can make changes to the field.

  6. When you have completed setting permissions, click Save at the top of the screen.

If all fields under a heading have the same permission, then the heading e.g. Personal Information, will show the same permission level icon.

If the fields below the heading have a mixture of permissions, e.g. View and Edit, then the heading, e.g. Account Settings, will be blank (grey circle). You will only see the grey circle for a heading where different permissions have been set, this is not an option you select.
