ESS uses two MicrOpay Evo fields to calculate the leave days.
Contract Hours (Pay Details on the employee record) is used to calculate the number of days leave an employee has in their Leave Balance (right side of the Leave window in ESS).
Work Pattern (Work Pattern on the employee record) is used to calculate the number of hours and days for the application date range. The application also takes into account the Public Holiday Planner associated with the employee's Location (Pay Details of the employee record) when calculating leave.
Days may not calculate correctly when:
the employee is not assigned a Work Pattern.
leave is entered on a day that the employee doesn't work in their Work Pattern.
there is no connection between MicrOpay and ESS.
User may receive errors when creating or editing leave e.g. timeout.
Entering a leave application, the hours and days won't calculate.
Editing a leave application (e.g. changing the dates or hours), the hours and days may not update.
The days won't update when the connection is re-established. You can however edit the existing application and change the dates to correct the hours and days.
a Work Pattern is assigned to the employee after entering a leave application.
The days won't update, but future applications will calculate correctly.
In all instances, the employee can manually enter the hours when they are incorrect but not the days.
