A Basis Of Employment is required

When a New Employee record is created in the New/Edit Employee window, you must select a Basis of Employment on the first setup page. This field is mandatory and is used for the employee's tax details. When new employee records are sent from your Third-Party system via the API, they also need to include this data.

You will need to contact your Third-Party provider and ensure that the data that is sent via the API includes BasisOfEmployment. The options for this field are:

  • Employee

  • Labour Hire

  • Contractor

Dates are imported as the next day

Dates can appear incorrectly in MicrOpay when they are imported from a third-party system and the date sent includes a timestamp. For example, if a HireDate is sent as 2024-12-20-09:00 then this may appear on the New Employee record as 21 December 2024. This can depend on certain settings in the API and the time will convert between UTC time (Coordinated Universal Time) and local time.

To ensure dates are imported correctly it is recommended that you import dates without a timestamp, e.g. 2024-12-20 or 2024-12-20T00:00:00.
