Pay Classes can be set to auto increment based on a date or because employees have accumulated a specified number of paid hours.
A Rule is set up on the Pay Class that determines whether the auto increment uses a date or the number of hours.
Items to note:
The change in Pay Class occurs when you do End of Pay for a Period that contains the date, which means the change will be applied after the date has occurred.
The process looks for Dates that occur within the Period and that are more than 12 months old. E.g., if the Weekly Period End date is 7 May 2025, then it will look for dates between 1 May and 7 May from 2024 or earlier years. It will not make a pay class change for dates outside this range, e.g., 29 April 2024.
