MicrOpay Client Service (MCS) is normally found on the server, which is usually managed by your IT department.
β
MCS is a Windows service that talks to the Web API and allows data to flow through the MicrOpay Evo Payroll Databases. If MCS stops or loses its connection, then the integration will stop.
Cause
Something within the environment would have caused MCS to stop or loose its connection. It may seem to run, but it would have already lost its connection. (example: firewall, anti-virus, update, etc.)
Restart MCS
Stop and restart MCS and change the MCS setting to Automatic (Delayed Start)
β
It is best to do this via the MCS Config (usually located under):
C:\Program Files (x86)\Micropay Client Service\Config\MicropayClientServicesConfig.exe
Use the Stop Service and Start Service buttons.
You can check in Services that MCS is stopped (Services > MCS > Status Blank)
Note: If you have issues with stopping/restarting MCS, end task on the MicrOpay Client Service (MicrOpay Data Transfer Service) through Task Manager and restart the service as normal (via MCS Config).
Change the MCS Startup Type setting to Automatic (Delayed Start) in Services.
If you want schedule MCS restarts, refer to the article Schedule restarts for MicrOpay Client Services.
