MicrOpay ESS Error: 'We encountered an issue while signing you in' in ESS

New starter received this message when trying to sign into ESS after entering their password 'We encountered an issue while signing you in.'

There can sometimes be an issue with a blank screen for New Starters when they log in to ESS. This message replaces the blank screen and directs the user back to the sign-in page, where they can try to log in again.

If your New Starter encounters the error in ESS, get the user to:

  1. Click the Return to Sign in page button on the message.

  2. Enter their Username as it appears in the Welcome to ESS email.

  3. Click Next.

  4. Enter the Password that they created.

  5. Click Next.
