An Australian Banking Association (ABA) file is a standard file used by Australian Banks to make multiple payments by uploading data to Internet Banking systems. It's also commonly known as a Direct Entry file or a Cemtext file. Click here for the ABA Format File Details.
To update your company bank account, follow the steps below:
Take a backup.
Go to Payroll, Maintenance, General, EFT Parameters.
Edit the EFT Parameters you wish to change.
If changing the company bank account, update the fields in Identification Information as necessary with the new information.
If a Self Balancing Disk is required, tick Self Balancing Disk.
Select the EFT File Processing Method. The options are:
None
Standard
Trickle
Pre-Process
The EFT File Path and EFT File Name are where the EFT File will be saved and what it will be called. Update as required.
Click OK to save.
All Australian Banks use the same format, an ABA file. You are unable to change the fields, length or format of the fields in the file. There are two variations that you can make to the file in consultation with your Bank. They are:
whether the file includes a Self Balancing line or not. This is selected at Self Balancing Disk.
which EFT File Processing Method you use. The most common are None and Standard.

Note: If you edit the current EFT Parameters, the update will be automatically applied to the employees. If a new EFT Parameter is created, you will need to edit each employee and select the new EFT Parameters to pay them from the new company bank account.
