MicrOpay IQ is a reporting tool that retrieves data from the currently selected company database using queries, called IQ Queries. The results of running an IQ Query are displayed in a grid. The grid data can then be saved for use in other applications or displayed on a chart.
β
IQ Queries included in MicrOpay retrieve a large volume of information from pre-defined data tables. Often, this will provide more information than required, so IQ queries can be customised to return only relevant data fields. This is done by selecting an existing IQ query and adapting it to suit your reporting requirements.
Customise a MicrOpay IQ report
To customise an IQ Query, go to Common, MicrOpay IQ, and highlight the IQ to be copied.
Right mouse click and select Copy.
Enter a unique alphanumeric Code of up to 10 characters. You cannot use the letters IQ for the first two characters of the IQ Query code. They are reserved for standard queries provided by MicrOpay.
Enter a relevant Description for the data returned by the query.
Type is an optional field used to group IQ queries. The options available in the Type dropdown list are:
Custom - Any IQ Query customised or created by Agents, i.e., User-Defined IQ Queries.
HR - All Human Resources-related Reserved IQ Queries.
Payroll - All Payroll-related Reserved IQ Queries.
You may choose not to use the Type Custom and allocate a Type of either Payroll or HR to user-defined IQ Queries or key in your own grouping for type. The required data is defined in the Column Details Window.
When the Show checkbox next to each Column Name is ticked, the field will be available in the grid. Click the Deselect All button to remove the tick from the Show checkbox for all rows. Click the Select All to tick all fields. Tick the data fields required for the new query.
You may determine the sequence returned data is displayed in the grid by assigning a number to each column in the Order field. The column with the value closest to zero (0), usually 1, will be shown as the first column on the left-hand side of the results. A number can only be allocated once.
Click OK to save the data in the window and close the window.
