Payroll Report is missing employees

Locations on the Payroll Report can also be missing when a special character is used in the name.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Special characters such as apostrophes and dashes in text fields may cause totals to be displayed incorrectly grouped together on the Payroll Report.

This includes special characters such as:

  • An apostrophe in an Employee Surname, e.g., O’Connor, or

  • A dash in the Location Description, e.g., NSW-001

The following are workarounds if you find this is the cause of missing totals and or employees appearing on the Micropay Payroll Report:

  • Order the report by Employee Code rather than Employee Surname.

  • Remove special characters from Location Descriptions. Sign in as the Admin agent and go to Access MicrOpay Administration, System Configuration, Look up Tables

  • Use the key above the Tab key on the left-hand side of the keyboard to insert an Acute symbol for an Employee's Surname, e.g., O'Connor.

If you find that the Employee/s and or Locations are still missing after reviewing the above workarounds, please raise a case online with your customer details, reference the title of this article, and provide as much information as you can, so we can provide a solution for you.
