Long Service Leave Provision Report

LSL liability report

Updated over 3 months ago

The Long Service Provision report provides analysis of liability for your company of the long service leave accrued by your employees. The balances are separated into Years of Service, Contingent Pro-Rata, Pro-Rata, Entitlement and Total Hours and Amount.

The Long Service Leave Provisions Report allows you to see the spread of LSL balances across the Years of Service bands. The Long Service Provision Report is best run after a pay end process, when all long service leave requests have been processed.

To access the Long Service Provision report from the system tree, select Reports, End of Pay, Long Service Provision.

The report groups employees into three categories based on how the Long Service Leave calculation is defined in Maintenance, Leave, Long Service Leave:

  • Contingent pro rata- employees who have not yet served the pro rata period.

  • Pro rata - employees who have passed the pro rata length of service but not yet reached the entitlement period.

  • Entitled - employees who have passed the entitlement period.

  • Employees may have both an entitlement and a pro rata balance, as once the first entitlement period is passed leave continues to accrue as pro rata.

  • Rate Type - Select the hourly rate used to calculate the liability for each employee. Options are Normal Rate, Award Rate or Other Rate.

  • Exclude Employment Types - Defaults to none. Select from the dropdown list any employment types you wish to exclude from the report, e.g. you may accrue LSL for Casuals but do not wish to include these in your liability reporting.
