Error: '“H:\...\Super.csv”. I/O error 32' in Superannuation Processing

Updated over 3 months ago

You may receive this error when the Super File is open on a computer while you are trying to write to the file, or it has not been properly written to the specified destination. Ensure that the file indicated in the error message isn't open on any computer, then follow the path displayed on the error message and delete the created file(s). Try to produce the files again. You need to ensure that nobody tries to open the file whilst you are processing Super. It should only be opened once the process is complete.

Important: If the Super file was produced and 'Pay to Fund' was ticked, you will need to restore to a backup that is before creating the file.

If the error persists:

  1. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Superannuation, File Layout.

  2. Edit the File Layout(s) your Super Funds use.

  3. Select the File Details tab.

  4. Change the Name of Output File, e.g., add a number to the end of the name.

  5. Click OK to save.

  6. Try producing the super files again.
