Set up a new staff member without a TFN

The TFN Declaration field filled with 111111111 represents - No TFN but applying for one.

Add the Tax File Number in Tax Details | TFN Declaration field with 111111111 if you are given an invalid or no Tax File Number.
​
The employee then has 28 days to supply the Employer with their correct Tax File Number.
​
If it is more than 28 days and the Employee still has not given you a TFN you may need to change the TFN to 000000000.
