Set up a new staff member without a TFN

The TFN Declaration field filled with 111111111 represents - No TFN but applying for one.

Add 111111111 as the Tax File Number in the TFN Declaration window on Tax Details, if you are given an invalid or no Tax File Number.

The employee then has 28 days to supply the Employer with their correct Tax File Number.
​
If it is more than 28 days and the Employee still has not given you a TFN, you may need to change the TFN to 000000000.
