As part of the Beam Terms and Conditions, when you agree to forward your superannuation details from MicrOpay to Beam Super Clearing.

Data sent to Beam

The following information is sent to Beam:

Company details:

  • Company Name

  • Contact name

  • Contact email address (typically a work-based email address)

  • Company bank details:

    • Account Number

    • BSB

    • Account Name

Employee Personal Data:

  • Name

  • Date of birth

  • Gender

  • Employee Code

  • Residential Address

  • Phone Number

  • TFN

Superannuation details for a pay period:

  • Super Fund ABN & USI

  • Employee's Super Fund Membership Number

  • Super Guarantee Amount

  • Employer Additional Contribution Amount

  • Salary Sacrificed Amount

  • Personal Contribution Amount

Data received from Beam

You will receive information from Beam about the superannuation batches that have been sent. This is largely comprised of error messages or warnings regarding the information you forwarded to Beam.

Security of Data

  • The information is sent via web API calls using HTTPS protocol (i.e. the data is sent encrypted) with a bearer token obtained by using a customer specific ID (a GUID) and a customer specific secret.

  • The ID and secret are encrypted and stored in the MicrOpay database.

  • The bearer token expires after 1 hour and is automatically requested or renewed within MicrOpay.

  • The Customer ID and secret expire after 12 months but they are automatically and transparently renewed within MicrOpay once it detects they are more than 6 months old.
