Beam Super Clearing - Error: 'Invalid JSON request' when submitting Beam Super Clearing batch

Updated over a week ago

This error can occur in Super Clearing Batches, even though the batch won't have an error or warning when validated. The error is caused by an invalid character (e.g. \, " or tab) in one of the fields (e.g. employee name).

To fix the error:

  1. Go to Payroll, Transactions, End of Period, Super Clearing Batches.

  2. Double-click on the batch that errored. This will open the Super Clearing Batch Details window. Each employee included in the batch will be listed with their values.

  3. Review all fields and rows in the batch looking for invalid characters.

  4. To export the batch, right-click in the Member Contributions Notifications grid and select Save Grid.

  5. Once you find the data causing the error, close the batch and the Super Clearing Batches window.

  6. Fix the data (e.g. fix the employee's name on the employee record).

  7. Return to Payroll, Transactions, End of Period, Super Clearing Batches.

  8. Select the batch.

  9. Click Validate to ensure that after the fix the data is valid.

  10. Then, click Submit.
