Superannuation has exceeded the SGL Contribution Cap

Super is too high or has been calculated for an employee over the maximum or SGL Contribution Cap in the quarter

Updated this week

There are several reasons why Superannuation has exceeded the SGL Contribution Cap:

  • Apply SGL isn't ticked on the Employer Contribution or the Employee record.

  • The employee has changed Super Funds during the quarter. When you change funds, the SGL cap is reset.

  • Superannuation wasn't ticked in Pay Calculation for a Manual Calculation.

To adjust the Super use Manual Calculation, see Process a Superannuation Adjustment for more information.
