MicrOpay ESS - Default Admin user in ESS

There is a user, xxxxx.Admin in ESS, what is it used for and who has access to it

Updated over 2 months ago

When your instance of ESS is created, a default user is added as part of the implementation. The username will usually be your customer number.Admin, e.g. 00000.Admin. Once the implementation is complete, this user is generally not used except when we need to access your instance as part of investigating a case. We will seek your authority and request that you enable the user before accessing your instance. As best practice, we recommend that this user be disabled when we are not investigating a case.

To disable or enable the user:

  1. Find the user.

  2. Select Account Settings.

  3. In Account Information, click

    • Disable Login. This will display if the user is enabled. When clicked, the user will no longer be able to log in.

    • Enable Login. This will display if the user is disabled. When clicked, the user will be able to log in.
