Create or setup a new Super fund

Updated over 3 months ago

Use the following steps to create a new Superannuation Fund:

  1. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Superannuation, Fund.

  2. Click Add.

  3. Complete the following fields:

    • Code

    • Fund Name

    • ABN

    • SPIN

    • USI

    • Address

    • Suburb

    • State and Post Code

    • Super Advice Telephone

  4. If you use:

    • Super Clearing, tick the checkbox. A Search button will be available to search for Funds.

    • Express Super, tick the checkbox. This will grey out the Fund Payment fields.

  5. Use the Fund Authorisation section to record if you have received advice that the Fund is compliant, accepts contributions and that the advice has been signed by an authorised person.

  6. Tick EFT Payment if you use the Creditor EFT Export to create a bank file for the super payments. Select the EFT Institution, and enter the Bank details (Bank, Account Name and Account Number)

  7. Click the File Layout tab, and attach the required file layout to this fund.

  8. On the Employer Contributions tab, click Select, highlight the Employer Contribution to attach and click OK.

  9. If this fund has any Employee Contributions, attach the Deductions on the Employee Contributions tab by clicking Select. Alternatively, you can click New to create new deductions for employee contributions.

  10. Click OK to save the fund.

Important: Each Super Fund requires its own Employee Contribution deductions. Don't use a deduction that has been attached to another Fund.
