Access Violations can occur in several areas. If an Access Violation or Object Activation error occurs, complete the following steps on the affected machine.

The steps below are for Desktop customers. If you are a Hosted or Payroll Online customer, raise a case online for the Online support team and reference the title of this article.

Important: After the following process is complete, Agents will have their customised preferences and default report selections reset back to the software defaults.

These errors can occur in transaction entry or when importing multiple files via Multi Employee Timesheet.

  1. Log out of MicrOpay Evo on the affected machine.

  2. Left-click on the Start button in Windows and type Run.

  3. Type regedit in the Open field and click OK.

  4. In the Registry Editor, go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER, Software, Sage MicrOpay, Meridian, Agents.

  5. Delete the affected Agent folder.

  6. It may also be necessary to delete all Agents, including Admin. These folders are automatically created again on the next login.

  7. Log in to MicrOpay.

  8. From the menu at the top of the screen, select Utilities, Explorer Options.

  9. Click the Performance tab.

  10. Ensure the Flush Interval and Poll Interval options are set to Never.

  11. Click OK to save.

If an error persists, raise a case online in the customer portal and provide a screen capture of the error along with your customer number and contact details.
