Grant an employee leave

Employee is attached to a leave class that is granted but hasn't received any leave, do I add the leave hours to the employee record

Sick and User Defined Leave classes can be set up to grant leave to the employee. Meaning that the employee receives the whole entitlement at the same time.

Leave is granted to the employee at the end of the Entitlement period. For example, if you grant 2 weeks of leave each year to the employee and the Entitlement Date is 1 January 2025, then the employee will receive 2 weeks of leave in the Pay Period that includes 1 January 2026.

For the employee to receive the leave up front, tick Grant Immediately on the leave class in the employee's record. The employee's leave entitlement will be granted the next time you Update Leave.
