Add an Addition before or after tax code or an allowance to the Super contribution

Add an allowance or addition to your employer contribution

Updated over 3 weeks ago

You will, on occasion, need to update your Employer Contribution so that Super is calculated on Additions. To do this:

  1. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Superannuation, Employer Contribution.

  2. Edit the Superannuation Contribution.

  3. Select the Calculation Parameters tab, then Additions & Deduction Codes.

  4. Click Select. This will display all the additions and deductions before and after tax.

  5. Highlight the addition you want to add and click OK.

  6. Ensure the Included column is ticked.

  7. Click OK to save the change.

Note: The steps above are used when All Additions Before Tax or All Additions After Tax are unticked. If All Additions Before Tax is ticked, then by default, Super is calculated on all Additions Before Tax. In this instance, you select Additions Before Tax to exclude by unticking Included. When super is calculated, it would be based on Additions Before Tax, except for the selected ones.
