Regional settings fix for when MicrOpay Client Services Config receives error 'ShortDateTime format of M/d/yyyy is wrong. It must be dd/MM/yyyy'

Updated yesterday

The SQL Server, MCS Server and the computer running the MicrOpay client need to be set to Australian Date and Time and Regional Settings.

Database server, MCS server, Application server and Application front end

By default, Windows computer will be set to US (America) time and date format.

The format in Region Settings should be English (Australia) and the Short date to dd/MM/yyyy. The language settings should be set to English (Australia) and Location to Australia for the Current user, Welcome screen and New user accounts.

Try the below steps to force the changes to go through. The fix works when it is done with Administrator rights (contact your IT to do this for you).

  1. Open the Region or Region and Language settings. You may be able to do this directly or need to open from the Control Panel.

  2. Select Polish as the Format (something out of the ordinary).

  3. Hit Apply.

  4. Select the Administrative tab, click Copy settings and then Apply.

  5. Tick Welcome screen and system accounts and New user accounts at the bottom of the screen.

  6. Click OK.

  7. Repeat the steps above and select English (Australia).
