There are four types of deductions that need to be shown separately in STP:
Salary Sacrifice amounts to be included in Reportable Employer Superannuation Contributions (RESC)
Other Salary Sacrifice amounts
Workplace Giving
Union Fees
STP Reporting for Deductions
To allocate deductions correctly in STP you need to select the appropriate option as the Reporting Group and Subgroup.
Go to Payroll, Maintenance, General, Additions and Deductions.
Edit the deduction and click on the STP Reporting tab.
Under STP Phase 2, select the Reporting Group.
If the deduction is a Salary Sacrifice for Super or other reason, select Salary Sacrifice.
If the deduction is for Workplace Giving or Union Fees, select Deduction Items.
Select the Reporting Subgroup:
For Salary Sacrifice, select either S (Superannuation (RESC)) or O (Other Employee Benefit).
For Deduction Items, select either F (Fees) or W (Workplace Giving).
Click OK to save.
