Other Leave Reason to accrue Annual, Sick and Long service leave

For leave that is based on contract hours the system will automatically calculate the leave accruals based on contract hours on the employee's record. This is regardless of what the employee has been paid. However, where the leave is based on Hours Worked, then leave will accrue for the nominated Leave Component. For Other Leave you also need to select the Leave Reason to the Leave class if they attract leave accruals.

To updated the Leave Reasons for leave based on hours worked, follow the below steps:

  1. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, Leave and choose the Leave Type e.g. Annual Leave

  2. Edit the respective leave class.

  3. Ensure Other Leave has been selected from Hours Type drop down.

  4. Tick the Leave Reason in Other Leave Reason to include or untick the Leave Reason to exclude.

  5. Click OK.

You may need to repeat these steps for other leave types and classes when a new leave reason is created.

This will ensure the respective leave reason will accrue leave when used in transactions.
