Addition Code for a Public Holiday Rate

You can use a percentage Addition to pay a number of things, including Overtime at a different percentage (e.g. Double Time and a Half), Shift Loading, Casual Loading etc.

To setup an Addition Code based on a percentage follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Payroll, Maintenance, General, Additions and Deductions.

  2. Select Add.

  3. Create the Code, Shortcut Key and Description.

  4. Category is Addition Before Tax.

  5. Type is Percent.

  6. In Percent enter the percentage eg: 150 (this will multiply the hourly rate by 1.5 times).

  7. To enter hours in a Timesheet tick Specify Hours in Transaction. Otherwise nominate the Hour Types to pay the addition on.

  8. Select the Rate.

  9. Make any other required selections.

  10. Click the STP Reporting tab.

  11. Select the Reporting Group and if applicable the Reporting Subgroup and Other Allowance Description.

  12. Tick Ordinary Time Earnings (OTE) if required.

  13. Click OK to save.
